Welcome to Park Road Academy Nursery
This website aims to provide existing and prospective parents with up-to-date information about our Nursery childcare provision.

Park Road Academy Nursery is part of Park Road Academy Primary School (formerly known as Park Road Primary School).

Over the years our Nursery has built up an excellent reputation for providing outstanding education and care, endorsed by our most recent Ofsted inspection and testimonials from parents.

Park Road Academy Nursery is situated on Leys Road, adjacent to Newton Park.

The nursery is well resourced and developed with a large outdoor area and a vibrant, exciting indoor area, which has recently been extended to enhance learning and development still further.

We plan a learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, that encourages a positive attitude to learning. We use materials and equipment that reflect both the community that the children come from and the wider world. We encourage the children to make their own selection of the activities on offer, as we believe that this encourages independent learning.

We ensure that all the seven areas of development relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage are incorporated:

  Communication Language
  Physical Development
  Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  Literacy
  Mathematics
  Understanding the world
  Expressive Arts and Design

“I am very impressed with the nursery. The staff are very kind and friendly and the work they have done with my daughter is amazing. Thank you all.”
J. Harrison 23/04/12

“A wonderful environment in which to learn! My son has grown in confidence and loves to learn. Thank you!”
R Hine 28/04/12

“My son has really developed his writing and numeracy skills since attending the nursery. He settled in very quickly and has made lots of friends. A big advantage for working parents is the extended provision of cover from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. which no other local school nursery offers!”
K. Shaw 22/04/12
